I have taken the photo of this Squacco Heron on the island Lesbos in Greece.
All my photos are digiscopes. I have taken all photos by a telescope(Swarovsky 80 HD) 30 x - with a digitalcamera .

Usually people invest a lot into camera or lenses, you are the exception of the rules! What a telescope and what a price tag!!! :-) I guess in a way you do need a good "optical lens" regardless.
What do you use to connect your camera to the scope?

@Ti: http://www.swarovskioptik.com/en/home - Here you can find out everything about the telescope ! To connect the telescope with the camera, I use a home-made adaptor ! At the moment I use the camera Nikon Coolpix P5100 ! Thank you for your interest !

This is just beautiful Sonja! There are a lot of things I like about this photo, but I think, for me, the best element is the foliage blurred in the foreground. It gives it a voyeuristic feel that makes me feel like I'm actually there. I love it! Beautiful details on the heron too! :)

Outstanding! What a different looking heron. I've spent a lot of time in Greece and have never seen one, although I've not been to Lesbos.
Remarkable long plumage on his head and interesting colors.
